Dad’s August Art Camp!

In August Dad helped us do some fun art projects. We made bean/seed art and paper mache masks! We also made a Hobbit Hole out of cement, but we’re considering that a prototype for a better version next summer. Megan made a witch mask and a picture of Chewie the dog. Dad made a Thing mask and a picture of Greedo (from Star Wars). Luke made a Stormtrooper mask and a picture of Bossk the bounty hunter (also from Star Wars).

“Aren’t you a little short for a Stormtrooper”?

Megan’s masterpiece.

At a school fundraiser Megan was excited to see that her school had printed note cards using student art, and her picture was selected as the First Grade example. Additionally this picture (oil pastel and colored pencil) was selected to be among a small sampling of student work to represent her school at the St. Paul Public School’s Art Crawl exhibit. We braved cold rain to check it out in person.
